UWIANO Platform for Peace has organized a series of events preceding commemoration of International Day of Peace on the 21^st September, 2021 in celebrating peace which is the foundation of sustainable peace, development and security.

This day is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace through observing of 24-hours of non-violent and ceasefire.

The theme this year is “Recovering Better for an Equitable and Sustainable World”.

Events have been organized in Kisumu, Uasin Gishu, Nakuru and Nairobi counties involving Women, Youth and PWDs with focus on dialogue forums on Conflict, Management, Prevention and Resolution amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.
